The cPanel Advanced DNS Zone Editor is available for advanced DNS entries from inside of your cPanel account. You can change current DNS entries for things like CNAMES, A Records and TXT Records. This control panel should only be used if you know exactly what you are doing.
You will need to login to your cPanel account and find the Doamins area, from there you will see the “Advanced DNS Zone Edito”. (See pic below, click on picture for larger version)
You should now see the Advanced DNS Zone Editor window with simple instructions. (See pic below, click on picture for larger version)
To reset your zone file to the default, click on the more and follow the directions.
To create a new DNS entry, fill in the required fields, choose the type (A, TXT, CNAME) and click on Add Record
Name: This is the record name you want to enter. Example: test.yourdomain.com. Hint:If you just type in the beginning of the A record like test and hit tab, the rest will be filled in for you.
TTL: This is the Time To Live value that you would the record to have. This is in seconds and our default is 3600, or one hour.
Type: This drop down allows you to set the record type. Choices include A Record, TXT, and CNAME.
Address: This is the destination Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or IP address depending on the record type chosen above.
At the bottom you can see a list of current DNS entries, their TTP, Class, Type, and Record. You can also Edit or Delete these records selecting your choice in the menu.
