cPanel Simple DNS Zone Editor

The cPanel Simple DNS Zone Editor is available for making A record and CNAME entries from inside of your cPanel account.

You will need to login to your cPanel account and find the Doamins area, from there you will see the “Simple DNS Zone Editor”. (See pic below, click on picture for larger version)

You should now see the Simple DNS Zone Editor window with simple instructions. (See pic below, click on picture for larger version)

To add a A Record, fill in the top area and click on Add a Record button.

Name: This is the record name you want to enter. Example: test.yourdomain.com. Hint:If you just type in the beginning of the A record like test and hit tab, the rest will be filled in for you.

Address: This needs to be a IP address you want the A record to point to.

To add a CNAME record, fill in the second form and click on Add CNAME Record button.

Name: This is the record name you want to enter. Example: test.yourdomain.com. Hint:If you just type in the beginning of the CNAME record like test and hit tab, the rest will be filled in for you.

CNAME: this is the host you would like the entry from above to point to. This must be a fully qualified hostname.

At the bottom of the page, you will see all the User-Defined Records
From here you can see, Name, Type, Record and Action. In the Action area you can delete the User-Defined records.
