After installation a RapidSSL certificate on your website, you can validate it to ensure it was installed correctly. This is particularly important due to changes in GeoTrust’s issuing process, in that the Intermediate CA (the intermediate certificate), which is issued along with the RapidSSL Certificate, has to be installed with the certificate in order to fully validate.
To confirm your certificate’s successful installation on your website, visit the following page on RapidSSL’s Knowledge Center and paste in the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) for which the certificate was issued, into the form at the bottom of the screen. The script will call out to your website and test the validity of the certificate. A fully validated certificate will return “Status: Successful” highlighted in bright green.
